Order questions 

How has my wine been selected? 
It is important you know the person making the selections each week knows their stuff. Josh is a Court-of-Master trained Sommelier (think proper knowledge of regions, wine making techniques, grape varietals) so you can rest assured you’re getting the best. Josh has been in hospitality for over 20 years at ‘Restaurant of the Year’ type establishments, so he knows how to give people the wine experience they deserve.  
We have a genuine passion and desire for more people to enjoy good wine and we are completely independent so you can trust that Josh is always making selections, not just by vintage, always by taste. Think of him as your own personal sommelier. 
When do you unveil ‘The Weekly Drop’ each week?                                                            
If you subscribe to receive our email updates you will be the first to hear about Josh’s selection each week, otherwise known as the ‘Chosen Two’. These emails are delivered to your inbox on Monday, giving you enough time to order and have your wine delivered for the weekend. We then post the selection @tw_drop on Tuesday. Weekly selections are only available until sold out so if you don’t want to miss out - sign up to our newsletter here
Can I gift The Weekly Drop? Do you include gift tags with personalised messages?
As delicious as our wines are, you can’t always order them for yourself, so if you would like to share the Weekly Drop as a gift, it’s just as easy as purchasing for yourself. Simply click here to go to our shop and upon checkout, put your friends/lovers/grandparents details in the shipping panel.
We can also place a handwritten gift tag to be sent with your ‘Weekly Drop’ gift. Details for this are also in the checkout.
If you think your friend would like to choose their own 'drop' you also have the option of giving them a Gift Voucher which you can purchase here.
How will my wine be packaged? 
Your wine will be carefully packed by The Weekly Drop team (aka Josh + Michele), in either two bottle boxes (for The Weekly Drop), or standard half dozen and dozen boxes if you choose to order up. Accompanying your wine will be some useful information about the wine - or tasting notes as they are known in some circles. We turn our noses up at wine snobbery and promise to only say it straight. 
Are your packaging materials environmentally friendly & can I recycle my box? 
We have kept our packaging simple because we care about our planet. Everything we include in the pack serves a purpose and can be recycled. 
The Weekly Drop is not only about being good for your palate, but also good for the planet. For every box of wine you purchase, we plant a tree on your behalf. So, you’ll be growing more than just your appreciation of good wine. We also partner with Shippit for our deliveries as they are a 100% carbon-neutral delivery service.
What if my wine is faulty? 
If you believe a wine we have sent you is faulty please don't hesitate to email us and we can arrange a replacement. A picture of the cork or description of the wine is always helpful as well.  
What happens if there's a breakage? 
Glass, unfortunately, is breakable. And although we pack them well and brief our delivery drivers to handle your wine with care, on the rare occasion bottles can break. If this happens please email us and we’ll organise a replacement. If the selection you chose has since sold out you will receive another ‘Drop’ as the replacement. 
How can I pay? 
We currently accept credit and debit card payments through our secure payment gateway called Shopify Pay. Shopify Pay uses Stripe who are an international platform used by the likes of Amazon and Deliveroo so you can rest assured your details are safe and secure.  We don’t currently offer Paypal as they charge much higher fees and we want to give you bang for your buck.
How does payment work? 
If you choose a one-off delivery you will be billed once at checkout. If you choose an ongoing subscription, your order will automatically renew until you notify us to stop. Weekly and Fortnightly subscriptions renew on Sundays, and Monthly subscriptions renews on the 15th of each month. 
Is it safe to pay online? 
Absolutely. All payments are taken via a secure server, which employs industry standard 128-bit encryption technology. This is the same level of encryption used by large banks to keep your information secure. 
Can I cancel my order? 
Once your wine has been dispatched you will receive an email to say it’s on its way. Once you receive this, your order can’t be cancelled.  
Our returns policy 
We’re all about more people enjoying good wine at The Weekly Drop. If you are not 100% satisfied with your wine please email us. We can’t make promises, but we’ll see what we can do. We will always err on the side of generosity, because why wouldn’t you, but we do reserve the right to refuse a refund if we think the policy is being taken advantage of unfairly. 
Can I see my previous orders? 
Once you’ve created an account with us you will be able to see previous orders. By creating an account, customers can securely save payment methods, shipping addresses, shopping carts, and order information, making for a faster checkout experience.
Can I access previous Tasting notes? 
Let us know which tasting notes you’re after and we’ll email them through to you.

Subscription questions 

What are the subscription types?  
We have three subscription options. You can subscribe to receive The Weekly Drop weekly, fortnightly or monthly. You can also purchase a monthly subscription of The Six Mixed - three of the Weekly Drop selections delivered together once a month.  With all subscriptions you will not only receive a cheeky discount, we will also organise for a tree to be planted by our partners at One Tree Planted. So, you’ll be growing more than just your appreciation of good wine. Good for your palate. Good for your wallet. Good for the planet. 
If you subscribe fortnightly each Weekly Drop will be $47.50  (instead of $50), and if you subscribe weekly each Weekly Drop will be $45 (instead of $50).  
How can I find out information about my subscription?
You can view and manage your subscriptions from your Customer Account. Once you log into your Account click on the Subscription section and you will be able to view details including; next order/renewal date, price, frequency, order history, saved billing and shipping information.
How do I change my subscription type? 
To change your subscription type you can either log into your Customer Account or email us
What if I want to change my delivery address for my subscription? 
Simply log into your Customer Account and you can change saved information like address and also payment details. Once you log in click on the Address option and either change the current address or add another one. Feel free to email us if you’re having any issues and we’ll try our best to help.
Am I able to put my subscription on hold? 
Unfortunately not at the moment. You have to cancel your subscription and then start a new one. We’re hoping to be able to do this for you soon. 
What if I want to cancel my subscription? 
Easy, all you need to do is log into your Customer Account. Click on the Subscription section and then click on Cancel Subscription. A confirmation window will pop up and you will need to click Cancel Subscription again. If you have any problems email us and we’re happy to help.

Delivery questions 

How long is it going to take to get my hands on my wine?                                             
We know this is a big one. Our promise to you is that we will ship orders as soon as we can. Once dispatched, we partner with Shippit to deliver your wine. The good news is that in 2019, over 95% of Shippit's deliveries were on time. And when it comes to the 5% of parcels that were late, almost all of them were delivered within 2 days of the delivery estimate. 
Estimated timings are a little different depending on what you order, and where you are; 
  • The Weekly Drop: All orders for The Weekly Drop will be packed and dispatched the next business day after we receive them. Once dispatched it’s estimated by Shippit your wine will take; 

Adelaide: 1 to 2 business days, Albury: 1 to 2 business days , Bendigo: 2 to 3 business days, Brisbane: 1 to 2 business days, Bundaberg: 2 to 3 business days, Cairns: 3 to 7 business days, Canberra: 1 to 2 business days, Central Coast: Next business day, Coffs Harbour: 1 to 3 business days, Geelong: 2 to 3 business days, Gold Coast: 1 to 2 business days, Hobart: 4 to 6 business days, Launceston: 4 to 6 business days, Mackay: 2 to 3 business days, Melbourne: 1 to 2 business days, Newcastle: Next business day, Northern Rivers: 1 to 2 business days, Perth: 7 to 10 business days, Port Macquarie: 1 to 3 business days, Rockhampton: 2 to 3 business days, Sunshine Coast: 2 to 3 business days, Sydney: Next business day, Toowoomba: 1 to 2 business days, Townsville: 3 to 7 business days, Wollongong: 1 to 2 business days 
  • Half Dozen & Dozen: If you order a half dozen, or dozen, add another 2-4 days to the above times. We will try to get these out asap too, but sometimes we may need a little more time to get extra stock from the warehouse. 

  • Subscriptions: If you have a subscription, your orders are packed and dispatched within 24 hours of payment (whether that be a weekly, fortnightly or monthly instalment). 

Currently we don’t offer delivery to rural and remote parts of Australia. If you’re interested in The Weekly Drop and don’t live in our current delivery suburbs send us a quick email so that we know to look into it for the future. 
Can I track my delivery?                                                                                                   
Yes, you most certainly can. You can do this in three different ways.  
  1. When your wine is has been picked up you will receive an email from Shippit with a tracking code. Follow the instructions in the email to track your order. 

  2. Email us and we'll do it for you :) 

What happens if I’m not home for delivery of my wine? 
A signature of an adult 18 years or older is required for all wine deliveries (it’s the law). So ideally, we recommend you nominate a delivery address where there will always be someone available to sign for your wine (eg. a business address or the like). 
If this isn’t possible, and you aren’t home to sign for your delivery, your wine will either be delivered to a  nearby location for collection  (eg. a parcel collection point such as a newsagent or convenience store) or made available for a free redelivery. 
Can you deliver to an overseas address? 
Unfortunately, delivery is limited to Australian addresses only. 
Who is delivering my wine? 
The Weekly Drop is not only about being good for your palate, but also good for the planet, so we partner with Shippit to deliver your wine to you. Shippit do the delivery thing well, and they are also a 100% carbon neutral delivery service. For us it’s all about good service and choosing partners that offer solutions that are good for the planet too, so it was a no brainer for us to partner with Shippit.
How much is shipping? 
Shipping is free for orders over $120. For standard delivery of a Weekly Drop to a metro area you're probably looking at between $6-10.
Shipping is calculated at checkout, and depends on what you have ordered (2 bottles of wine or 12), also where it's being delivered too (metro or regional area), and whether you're looking for standard or express delivery.
Can I have my wine delivered more quickly? 
Absolutely we have an express overnight delivery option available at checkout.
Can I change the delivery address once my wine has been dispatched? 
No, unfortunately not. 
Can I collect my order/wine from your warehouse to avoid shipping costs?  
Unfortunately at this point in time our Liquor Licence doesn’t allow us to have people collect wine from us. This will likely change down the track so stay tuned. 
Do you deliver to parcel lockers and PO Boxes? 
Shippit can’t deliver to Australia Post-owned properties (this includes post offices, PO boxes, locked bags, parcel lockers or parcel collect locations) because Australia Post restricts delivery to these locations. 
What do I do if my order is incorrect? 
Well if you got more than you paid for, we’d suggest you keep it quiet and enjoy! If we’ve made a mistake and you’re missing out on the Grenache you’ve been busting to try, email us and we’ll sort it out asap.

Who is The Weekly Drop and why did you start it? 
We are Josh and Michele Renshaw. We get out of bed in the morning because we have a genuine passion and desire for more people to enjoy good wine. Giving back by planting trees for our planet is what helps us sleep well at night. Josh is the wine guy and Michele makes sure the wine gets to you. We hope that growing your appreciation of good wine has a positive impact on the planet, it’s as simple as that.
