The Primitivo is Puglian by nature, and by nurture. Grapes are grown on the hills in Puglian soil, and the wine is made near the home of Borgo. It doesn’t possess the teeth melting tannin of some styles, those being underripe and sharp. This Borgo is all pretty red fruits and a warmth from the decent whack of alcohol, like spicy raspberries in leather shoes.
