Mount Macleod is also a beacon of sustainability and should be applauded. The steps taken to ensure the business is carbon neutral include – bottle labels made from post-consumer waste recycled paper with only aqueous inks; winemaker Mark Matthews has planted over 14,000 trees on the property; 10 years organic certification; weed management using native grass and fire stick; recycled, unbleached paper for cartons, the list goes on. Mark isn’t just a winemaker, he’s a hard-working ecologist also, making amazing wines as well as saving the planet. We like that.
