2018 Regis & Sylvain, Chenin Blanc, from Loire Valley, France
This Chenin Blanc is sourced from vines set deep in limestone soils overlooking the Cher River in the Loire Valley. No vineyard could have a better view, and the terroir is paramount to offering the flavours sought after in this favourite of French varietals. Fresh green apple with a little waxy, leesy mouth feel. A sumptuous, characterful wine made by characters.
2017 Hamelin Bay, Merlot, from Wardandi Country, Margaret River, WA
The beauty of this wine is while it’s predominately Merlot, there’s a percentage of Cabernet and Malbec which give this wine the classic Bordeaux treatment. Lots of delicious, dark laden fruits, with a vibrancy not usually seen in Marg river Merlot. Soft tannins lead to a complete finish and shows off the ability of Karridale to push their place as a premier spot for wines of the West.
