2019 Hutton, ‘Graffiti’ Chardonnay, From Wardandi Country, Margaret River, WA
This wine is exactly why I love chardonnay so much. It’s fresh and scintillating, full of deep citrus, with a gentle creamy core from old oak. Subtle in its fruit weight, yet delightfully balanced by the acidity. Such a cracker and so damn easy to drink.
2016 Tim Adams, Ladera, Tempranillo, From Ngadjuri Country, Clare Valley, SA
The Ladera Tempranillo is a benchmark, Australian Tempranillo. Using the benefits of superb fruit, unparalleled experience, new and old French oak, a little bit of time and lots of care, the layers of flavour abound. Dark fruits, like blackberry and black cherry, a little smokeiness and a facefull of dried herbs and chocolate. You’ll love this wine, I just know it.
